PM Swamitva Yojana

 PM Swamitva Yojana 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the distribution of e-property cards, a property verification solution, under the SWAMITVA scheme to be held on National Panchayati Raj Day i.e. 24 April 2022. 4.09 lakh property owners will be given e-property cards. On this occasion, which will also mark the SVAMITVA (Survey in Rural Areas and Mapping with Improved Technology) scheme for implementation across the country. PM Swamitva Yojana has completed its 1st year on 24th April 2022.

PM Swamitva Yojana 

The Swamitva scheme will be implemented in all states and union territories in the financial year 2021-2022. Farmers will be able to see their land information online through the e-Gram Swaraj portal. Property owners will get a legal document in which their name and rights will be recorded. In order to strengthen the infrastructure of the villages, the central government has started the e-Gram Swaraj App and Swamitva Yojana. Currently, these have been started in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Under the ownership scheme in Uttar Pradesh, the population of thousand villages will be surveyed by drone. Every person will get a Proprietary Certificate. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched Pradhan Mantri Yojana Swamitva Yojana. The central government will invite the PM Swamitva Yojana online application on the new portal. It is an integrated asset recognition solution for rural India. Now people living in rural areas can take loan from banks on their village property under PM Swamitva Yojana. Prime Minister Modi has also launched e Gram Swaraj Portal / eGramSwaraj App on National Panchayati Raj Day (24 April 2020) along with this scheme. For this purpose, the Central Government will use the technology of drones in collaboration with the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, State Panchayati Raj Department, State Revenue Department and Survey Department.

In the new PM Swamitva Yojana 2022, the demarcation of inhabited land in rural areas will be done using latest survey methods. For this purpose, the Central Government will use the technology of drones in collaboration with the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, State Panchayati Raj Department, State Revenue Department and Survey Department. PM Modi will hand over physical copies of property titles of their houses and adjoining areas to 1,32,000 landlords in 763 villages across the country under the Swamitva Yojana on 11 October 2020.

The integrated e-Gramsarwaj portal (egramswaraj.gov.in) and app will provide a single interface for preparation and implementation of Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP). PM Swamitva Yojana portal will be launched soon, where people will be able to apply online for mapping their village properties and availing bank loans.

Objectives of Prime Minister's Ownership Scheme

Ownership means survey of villages and mapping of village areas with improvised technology. The scheme seeks to achieve the following objectives:-


To bring about financial stability in rural India by enabling citizens to use their assets as financial instruments for availing loans and other financial benefits.

Preparing accurate land records for rural planning.

Assessment of wealth tax, which will be directly received by the village panchayats in the states where it is transferred or added to the state treasury.

Survey infrastructure and creation of GIS maps which can be used by any department for their use.

To assist in preparation of better quality Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) using GIS maps.
