UP Labour Health Insurance Scheme, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced to start the UP Shram Swasthya Bima Yojana for the laborers. On 1st May 2021, CM has announced two schemes for the laborers of the state. In the first scheme, all laborers will be given an insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh for accidental death or disability. Registered laborers will also be given a health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh.

CM Yogi said that in the midst of the second wave of Kovid-19 epidemic, the government is resuming the distribution of free ration under the PM Garib Kalyan Yojana from May 5. Earlier in the financial year 2020, the state government had not only given free ration to the laborers but also a “Maintenance Bhatta” or allowance. About 54 lakh laborers were benefitted by the financial assistance. More than 40 lakh migrant workers who returned to the state were also given benefits.
UP labor health insurance scheme implemented
In UP Shram Swasthya Bima Yojana for laborers, State Govt. Will provide Rs. 5 lakh to all the registered laborers. For this, it is necessary for any laborer to be registered with the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (BOCW). All those laborers registered with the BOCW Board will automatically be included in the UP Shram Swasthya Bima Yojana Beneficiary List. Other workers who are still not registered they have to apply online as workers to avail the benefits of UP worker health insurance scheme.

All the workers who have registered will be able to avail the benefits of UP Shram Swasthya Bima Yojana through DBT mode in their bank accounts. On the homepage, scroll down to the “Worker” tab present in the main menu and then click on the “Labour Registration / Correction” tab:-
Then the UP Labor Registration Online Application Form will appear
All applicants have to enter their Aadhar Card Number, Circle, District, Mobile Number and click on “Aavedan / Sanshodhan Karein” button to complete the BOCW Mazdoor Registration process with Uttar Pradesh Labor Department.
