A total of 350 vacancies have been announced for Navik GD, Navik DB, and Yantrik posts. The category-wise vacancy details are as follows:

Age Limit
To be eligible, candidates must be between 18 to 22 years as on April 30, 2023. The minimum and maximum age limit for the Coast Guard recruitment 2023 is 18 to 22 years (born between May 1, 2001 to April 30, 2006). Age relaxation applies as per government rules.
Eligibility Criteria
Different eligibility criteria have been set for the Navik GD, Navik DB and Yantrik posts.
For Navik GD, candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized education board.
For Navik DB, 10th pass or equivalent from a recognized board is required.
For Yantrik posts, candidates must have passed Class 10 and have a diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering streams. The diploma duration should be minimum 2 years after 10th.
Application Fee
Candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs. 300, except SC/ST category who are exempted from fees. The fee can be paid online through credit/debit card, net banking, or other available payment options.
Selection Process
The Coast Guard will shortlist candidates based on performance in the written exam, physical fitness test, document verification, and medical examination.
For Navik GD, the written exam will be objective type with questions from Mathematics, General Science, General Knowledge, and English.
For Yantrik, the written test will be objective type with questions from Physics, Mathematics, Basic Electrical and/or Mechanical/ Electronics/ Telecommunication Engineering.
For Navik DB, the written exam will comprise of objective questions from Mathematics, General Knowledge and English.
